A Place in the Sun is more than just the name of a lacklustre television programme – it’s what people have been aspiring to for decades. Spain is the main destination for the majority of Brits who leave grey and dreary Blighty and everyone has a story to tell as to why they made the big step. It’s rarely just for sun, sea and sangria.
